You must sign in with Google or email before playing. Your progress is linked to your account so you can continue later.
Age recommendation
We recommend this experience for people aged 18 and over because the game explores life events and decisions across different stages of life. We do not ask you to select or enter an age, and we do not collect dates of birth.
Information stored
- Account: Google sign-in and email verification codes are provided by Clerk. Saves are linked to your Clerk account identifier, stored in this browser, and synced online through Cloudflare D1.
- A save includes the game decision history, character name, age, life generation, and save time. This website does not store passwords or payment information.
How information is used
Information is used to run the game, restore progress, sync saves across devices, and confirm purchases. The website has no ads. Google Analytics 4 (GA4) measures public-page views, and Microsoft Clarity helps us understand public-page usage. Neither service runs when your browser sends a Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal.
Service providers
Clerk provides authentication, Cloudflare provides website hosting and the database used for saves, Stripe processes payments, Google provides page-view analytics through GA4, and Microsoft provides usage analytics through Clarity when your browser does not send a Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal. Each provider processes information as needed to deliver its service.
Usage analytics
GA4 measures basic visit and public-page view information and may use browser cookies or identifiers. It receives the page URL without query parameters or fragments and a referrer with its query parameters removed. We do not send game choices, saves, account identifiers, email addresses, or payment details to GA4. Enhanced measurement, Google signals, and ad personalization are disabled. GA4 is not loaded when your browser sends a Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal.
Microsoft Clarity runs by default on public pages unless your browser sends a Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal. It may record clicks, scrolling, pointer movement, and page display for analytics and session replay. The project uses Relaxed masking: input fields and dropdown menus remain masked, while other text is not masked by default, including game content shown during play. Collection continues during gameplay and stops when an account, sign-in, or payment flow opens. Advertising storage remains denied.
Your controls and deletion
Signed-in players can delete characters from the character library. To request deletion of a Clerk account or related account data, email support@gowellapp.me.
